1年 agoWhen my son was born I had the camera in my hand, ready to capture it all. I did not shoot a single frame. I can say the same about many other amazing experiences and sites from my travels etc. over the years. Heck the cops would not have any footage if it wasn’t for their body cams.

1年 agoI was a cop in the 80s and got a call for a job where several people said there was a spacecraft hovering over their houses. I answered back to the radio operator “Yeah and exactly what do they want me to do about it?”. Anyway I got halfway to the place and the Dispatch told me to disregard the job. I asked back at the station if anyone knew what happened and they all said they didn’t know.

1年 agoI’m generally a believer in these recent reports, but one thing that confuses me: how is it that no one in that house got a quick video on their phone? We live in a time where everyone records everything, yet no one thought to even snap a photo?

1年 agoDispatchers are trained to remain seemingly emotionless and to gather pertinent information. They get a lot of crazy calls, and this man does not seem extremely upset. She is not jaded, just following her training and experience. “Subjects” is a typical word used for a person (or alien, I suppose) in a situation, in case one is unsure of race, gender, role in the event, etc.

1年 agoAs for the dispatcher, they are trained to remain calm regardless of what happens or what is said. No panic in her voice keeps the caller calm also.
