Theoretical astrophysicist and Harvard professor Avi Loeb has a message for scientists who are skeptical of the existence of extraterrestrial life: Seek out the truth. Loeb recently led an expedition to study the crash site of an interstellar meteor that he believes could provide answers. “Many of the scientists pretend to be a scientist, but they are not really seeking the evidence, and they push back with very strong opinions that are not supported by anything,” Loeb said on “Elizabeth Vargas Reports.”

The Chris & Phaedrus show
3か月 agoThe data is actually pretty decent. The problem is material proof which is likely out there but difficult to come by. The fact that humans are here means there’s gotta be something else out there at someplace in an infinite universe.

3か月 agoChris Christie was asked about UFO’s and he made a laughing stock of it. I thought he was young enough to not have such a 1950’s attitude. It’s not funny it’s not a joke. Good luck to him “trying to run” for presidency…now that’s a joke 😂

3か月 agoIf we see something weird, we should probably try to understand what it is that we’re seeing, not dismiss it as failure of our visual system.

3か月 agoDamn, Avi Loeb said he really lives his raps compared to Neil Degrasse Tyson

3か月 agoThe distinction between Avi and Tyson is that he’s not arrogant and he is curious enough to go seek out the evidence instead of sitting on his high horse asking others to bring it to him.
show more show lessAnother key distinction between the two is that Avi seems to understand that the human being who authors science must be curious for science to advance. And to be curious, you have to have some communicated relationship with other human beings reporting information; and to do that, you can’t be a skeptic about every single thing all the time in relationship to the scientific process as NDT seems to oddly be.
He destroyed NDT with that reply. Good for Avi!

3か月 agoLOVED Avi’s response…
show more show lessNeid DeGrasse is such a such a busybody and a boaster..Cannot STAND his opinion on UAPs..
But AVI really nailed it : ” He asked for data, but DOES NOT seek any… He is TALKING about SCIENCE , but yet, he is NOT PRACTIONING it”..”
Summarizes it at the best! File closed!

3か月 agoNice to see NDT get smoked by Dr. Loeb. Love that Avi is chasing the science and making things happen. He in my opinion has played a large part in helping end the stigma within the scientific community.

3か月 agoLittle reminder that the last time Neil Degrasse Tyson published a scientific paper was in 2008 💀

3か月 agoWay to GO Avi!! It’s scientists like you we need to work on this issue.

3か月 agoWhat NDT doesn’t understand is that the first part of the scientific process is observation, curiosity, and hypothesis generation. That’s the key to unlocking the search for more evidence. Scientists don’t like to talk about this part outside their own circles but it’s true.

3か月 agoThe problem with Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s “needs” is that presumably some of the best technology we have (military tech) has captured UAP data. If the existing technology that humans have isn’t good enough for NDT, that doesn’t mean that UAPs don’t exist. Before man had telescopes that allowed humans to see deep into space, space still existed.

3か月 agoEven PhD scientists like Neil are human and they have human emotions. One of those emotions is not being the top dog in the scientifiic ocmmunity and if alien gifted tehcnology is being used, then much of any scientists endeavors become dated overnight. That is potentially a hard pill to swallow. Also, we have intrenched ourselves into the highly effective elaborate dis information campaign put forth by the Pentagon to discredit any sightings of aliens or craft. At the Presidential debate last night, a question about UFO’s was asked of Chrisss Christy and it got a mild chuckle from the audience. They still think this is comical and so does the scientific community. Grusch’s testimony should have left the world’s mouth gaping but it did very little.

3か月 agoWhat a breath of fresh air to hear from Avi. Avi is spot on about the reactions of those in the scientific community concerning this topic. Instead of looking into something with an open mind (which is necessary trait to have in order to be scientific), they are sitting in their air conditioned office saying that it’s not worth investigating because they can’t conceive of something extraordinary.
show more show lessBasically it’s the same mentality that British scientists had in the 1700s when reports came in from Australia of a creature called the platypus. A mammal, that lays eggs, is semiaquatic, has webbed feet, a bill like a duck, has no stomach, has electroreception, oh and the males are venomous.

3か月 agoAmen to that Avi!!! Use to be a huge fan of Tyson but in my opinion this subject has brought out Niel’s true colors, he’s not a real scientist, he’s more of a TV show celebrity. I’ve lost so much respect for that guy.

3か月 agoAvi isn’t scared to take risks and doesn’t care what his extremely cowardly and conservative colleagues think. That’s how we progress. We need more people like Mr Loeb!
