Mysterious flying objects seem to be having their moment in Washington. In January, the Pentagon was tasked with setting up a permanent office to investigate sightings of ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’, commonly known as UFOs. Then in May, Congress held its first public hearing on the subject in over 50 years. This recent shift hasn’t stemmed nearly century-old theories about UFOs landing on Earth and coverups but to some, it’s a sign Disclosure, or complete transparency on everything the government knows about UFOs, might be on the horizon.

2年 agoInterviewer: Can you prove Aliens exist?
Conspiracy theorist: Trust me Bro…

2年 agoThose are satellites around the 4:00 mark and that is how they typically move. This is because a satellite’s “light” is reflected sunlight. The sun is still illuminating them because their elevation is much higher than us on the ground. They can only be seen during that short window where you can be in darkness on the night side of the Earth, but the satellite can be high enough in orbit to still be in full sunlight. You won’t see a satellite late at night. You will only see them for a few hours after sunset and a few hours before sunrise.

2年 agoInteresting that these conspiracies almost always turn into cults.

2年 agoAs always they never have video cameras, cameras, audio recording. Ya know ANYTHING that could take proper evidence

2年 agoYou know I somehow believe in the possibility of extra terrestrial beings. Everywhere there is organic matter in the universe and, in Earth, with proper conditions, it evolved into micro-organisms and much later to humans. Might be possible if some other planet support this life system as well.

2年 agoThis didn’t make these “alien hunters” look crazy or ignorant did it? “Look there’s a UFO now!” as a satellite flies over head 🤦♂️

2年 agoThis is what happens when we don’t teach kids, at a young age, critical thinking and philosophy… They grow up staring at shadows on the cave wall believing they have an objective grasp of reality and truth.

2年 agoI love that all these conspiracy theorists say “I’ve done my own research” but never reveal what their research consists of, what methods they used to reach these conclusions, what variables were at play, what documentation or evidence they have at their disposition to come to these conclusions, etc.
show more show lessIt goes without saying that they’re not doing any real research but I wonder how they can even convince themselves of what they believe.

2年 agoIt’s definitely possible that there is life out in the universe..but these people are just nuts.

2年 agoWhat I’ve never understood with these conspiracy theorists is this: many reasonable people can connect the dots and will concur that given the vastness of the universe, it’s likely that there are other living creatures somewhere out there. With billions of stars in the sky, most have their own cluster of planets like our own solar system, life is inevitable.
However, at what point (and based on what evidence) do you decide to hold the crazy position that – for example – the US government has bases on other planets and our space brothers are willing to help us with free energy??? I just don’t understand how you can make such a leap.
When your explanation for why an observed flying object cannot be a satellite is “satellites don’t have lights on them”, I am not encouraged to see things your way. Doesn’t she know that the moon doesn’t emit its own light either? We’re able to see such a bright moon for the same reason we can see satellites – reflected sunlight.

2年 ago‘The Guardian’ February 2022: ‘It was a group of pilots who brought the issue to the fore in 2021. In a breakthrough interview with 60 Minutes, members of the US Navy lined up to recall their experiences of encountering UFOs on America’s coasts. It happened so frequently that the encounters became commonplace, Ryan Graves, a retired navy pilot, told the CBS show.
“Every day,” Graves said. “Every day for at least a couple years.”
For years, pilots had refused to share tales of their UFO experiences, worried of being labeled kooks or being passed over for promotion. The account of the navy pilots was given credibility, however, by leaked military footage which showed an oval flying object near a US navy ship off San Diego, and separate videos which showed triangular-shaped objects buzzing around in the sky.
The US government’s UFO report, released in June 2021, fueled more interest. The Pentagon studied 144 incidents reported by military pilots between 2004 and 2021 in preparing the report. Officials were able to explain one of the incidents – it was a balloon – but the rest remain a mystery’

2年 agoinstead of using a night vision goggles, she could have easily used a cheap telescope and found out that these aren’t UFOs. She’s crazy.

2年 agoGreer is such a weird story – he did so much good in the community with the disclosure project, bringing together hundreds of reliable witnesses from all over the world willing to testify as to their experiences before congress, yet now he’s seemingly completely lost his mind, saying things like he has traveled to other galaxies many times, and talking flippantly about his interactions with EBEs. Real disclosure is surely on the way, it’s just a matter of time, but what a goober man.

2年 agoThe UFO conspiracy evolved from the belief of supernatural things in the past centuries. It has been discussed in Carl Sagan’s book ‘Candle in the Dark’.
Conspiracy theorist have major eco issues. They rarely admit themselves wrong when present with a concrete and reasonable view.

2年 agoOne of my closest buddies growing up was obsessed with that whole “Disclosure Project” thing when we were in high school, so around 2002-03 I guess and he always made it seem like this Greer guy was right on the verge of something huge. Hard to believe it’s been 20 years already!!

2年 agoI love how American’s always think that the aliens are just always going around America, and nowhere else in the world really. I think that would be the last place they would want to visit.
